No. You can take the exam whenever you feel ready after completing the course.
The multiple-choice test appears at the end of accredited courses. You need a score of at least 75% to pass and earn your official certificate and CME credits. You have up to three attempts. The number of questions depends on the course length, usually 10 per hour, and some may include clinical images.
1 hour of accredited learning equals 1 ECMEC® credit. For example, a 30-minute course is worth 0.5 credits.
Certificates issued by Xpeer correspond to official EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) accreditations. According to the regulations of this European accreditation, they are issued exclusively in English, so we do not currently offer official versions in other languages.
However, in many countries there is a conversion or recognition procedure for EACCME credits managed by the corresponding national body, so we recommend contacting the accreditation organization in your country to find out the applicable procedure.

Yes. Xpeer is included in the LEEF (Lista degli Enti Esteri di Formazione), the official list of foreign training entities recognized by AGENAS (Agenzia Nazionale per i Servizi Sanitari Regionali) for Italy's ECM (Educazione Continua in Medicina) system. Being on this list means Italian healthcare professionals can have up to 100% of the training credits from Xpeer courses recognized, up to a maximum of 50 credits per single training activity.
To request recognition, the professional needs to:
- Complete the Xpeer course and obtain the certificate.
- Submit a credit recognition request through the CO.GE.APS portal, the national platform where healthcare professionals manage their ECM credits, attaching the Xpeer certificate.
- AGENAS will recognize the credits, since credits can only be recognized for activities completed after the date Xpeer was added to the LEEF list.
